We have formed new seating groups in class. There are six groups with five in each group, except one with four.) Today our X-TRAORDINARY
ORDERS group won with flying colors. Each group is named after the classification system. Congratulations to Attika, Lexi, Lauryn, Kelsie, and Alizabeth. Tomorrow the kids were to try bringing in a phrase for us to remember the order of classification terms. S for species, G for genus, F for family, O for order, c for class, p for phylum, and k for kingdom.
On tap for tomorrow:
- spelling test (bring practice test and workbook pages)
- Thursday hopefully ready for health quiz/connecting to the books we are reading together
- begin states unit/ using atlas and packet we'll begin with Alabama and hopefully Alaska
- want to plot some cities on a map using latitude and longitude
- quiz over midwest region/ naming continents and oceans labeled on eastern and western hemispheres
- math focus continues to be on ordering/ writing decimals
