Tonight:  please check to see that your child is inderstanding equivalent fractions and reducing fractions.  Besides our reading super bowl minutes, the spiral math sheet front and back is all the homework for tonight.

If my picture of our houses would not have been so contrary tonight, I would have let you have a peek at our masterpieces so far.  Maybe another day when they are even more colorful.

We still need helpers for Tuesday, December 11th, and before and after the Christmas Program on the 13th for our Santa workshop.  Anyone still available??

Our class picture will be in The Clay City News this week.  I'll try to copy a picture off for the kids.

Tonight's homework:  spelling workbook, math spiral, science p93-94 if not finished

Book orders were sent home today.  If you want to order, please bring your order and check a week from today.  (You can always order online also and earn free books for our class.)

Our second Acuity Language Arts test was today.  We'll be regrouping for RTI soon based on the scores.  Our math test is on Friday at 9:30.

Start Earning Candy for Gingerbread House!

We will be making gingerbread houses on Wednesday.  To earn candies for the houses,  the students will

• read nightly for their reading super bowl minutes
• turn in signed, practice spelling tests
• turn in completed spelling workbook sheets
• have at least +7/10 on spiral math homework sheets
• empty behavior chart
• wear monarch shirt when asked
• etc...

Tonight's homework is the reading minutes, practice spelling test, and math spiral.

Hope everyone enjoyed our pancakes this morning.  I sent a recipe that you can make very easily at home.

If your child gets bored, don't forget they have an ixl.com account that is really good.  We are just beginning to find equivalent fractions, reduce, and simplify.  I think that is M4.   We have also been working on B7, K2, Y1, Y2, and Y3.  If you haven't checked it out, maybe this weekend will be the time to take a look.

Hope reading a good book sounds like a fun, relaxing way to spend some of your vacation time.
