What a busy week!  Hope eveyone enjoys a restful weekend with no homework.  Please try to wear your monarch shirt on Monday for your first picture.  See you then.

Monarchs Taking the Field

We have 13 monarchs that have reached the Super Bowl football field.  Good for you!  Hopefully, we get everyone on the board tomorrow.

Hello, My Awesome Monarchs!

Wow!  The day just flew by today.  So much to talk about...we needed more time!  Hopefully, tomorrow can begin looking more like a typical day.  I was really impressed with so many of my new monarchs.  I'm looking for good listeners and eager learners.
We are hoping to get off to a great start in our reading super bowl tonight.  It takes an hour of reading at home to earn the monarch football player for out in the hallway field.  Everyone needs to read at least for 20 minutes tonight and write a 2 sentence summary of what they read in their composition notebook.  Looking forward to seeing those tomorrow.
That's it for homework for tonight, but please try to return your information card and checklist from parent's orange paper in the morning.

T-Shirts On The Way!

A+ Printing is getting our monarch shirts printed up early this year to avoid the rush.  Hopefully I've ordered a good variety of sizes to fit everyone.  The shirts will be $7.00, but if you don't have the money right now, just send a note and say what size you need.  They are also printing up a couple of hoodies if anyone is interested in ordering them.  I believe they are $13.

In addition to the first Friday every month, we'll also be wearing our monarch shirts for special days such as March to the Courthouse, Award's Day, the classroom newspaper picture, and our annual St. Louis field trip in May.
