Don't forget to have one hour of reading finished for Thursday

Tomorrow the boys will be writing a pen pal letter to a resident at Cloverleaf Healthcare, and the girls will be writing to a different resident.  The two groups have brainstormed questions to ask.  Today they voted and narrowed down their top three choices of questions to ask.  All students will be writing the same drafted letter they create.  One student will type it on Word to give to our new friends at Cloverleaf.  We will be videotaping our students asking these questions on Thursday.  Hopefully, we will be watching the videotaping of the residents as they talk to our students following Spring Break.

Hope to See You at the Carvival Tonight

Yahoo!  Extra recess today!  I gave mercy to those who hadn't turned in their reading homework today because it was just too wonderful to see that beautiful sun again.  I must keep my word though....it they do not redeem themselves by reading over the weekend, NO MORE MERCY.  Enjoyment reading is a wonderful homework assignment to have.  Help your child find just the right book for them.

Thrilled to announce that EVERYONE in the class earned a movie from writing at least a full page on their Applied Skills Writing Test.  We will watch it as soon as everyone has taken their make-up tests.

Next Wednesday is our auction day.  I have some very rich Monarchs in here.  Hope they find some great deals.

Have a great weekend.

Monday Morning Math Applied Skills Test

I hope some of you find the ixl.com to be helpful in reviewing math skills.  I had hoped everyone would "conquer" several before Monday, but time is just too short.  One area we were reviewing was the W's that included converting different measurements.  If you have time, you might check out the site to see what you think.  I am rewarding those with notes from home saying the area and the score your child achieved.  (example  W-4  75 points.)  They do need to reach 75 before stopping to win rewards.  Please try to practice those areas that need the most work.

Have a great weekend.  See you a week from today at the carnival.
